Shelter Island Adventure
Time & Location
About the Event
Edged in white by 11 miles of coastline, Mashomack Preserve on Shelter Island is considered one of the richest habitats in the Northeast. This amazing preserve covers a third of the island with 2,039 acres of interlacing tidal creeks, mature oak woodlands, fields, and freshwater marshes and is often referred to as the "Jewel of the Peconic." Our kids will have specialist lead classes exploring and learning hands on about our special wildlife on the east end.
After a quick lunch watching the bluebirds, we head for the Whales Tail, a 18 hole mini golf course that has been an institution of Shelter Island for oer 20 years!
Students bring packed lunch. Ice cream will be provided!
